Jury selection begins in Jacobsen manslaughter trial
Jury selection in the trial of a former nanny accused of killing a Richland child nearly two years ago begins today in Benton County Superior Court.
Kelli Anne Jacobsen is charged with manslaughter in the June 2011 death of one year-old Ryder Morrison.
Today, dozens of potential jurors came to the court house to see if they would be seated on the case.
Attorneys also wrapped up some last minute motions before opening statements begin.
Once a jury is seated, Jacobsen's trial is expected to last about three weeks.
