People pack IHOP restaurants for free pancakes
People across the country are packing IHOP restaurants today to get some free pancakes and donate to a good cause.
Today is National Pancake Day.
IHOP restaurants are giving away free short stacks.
Instead paying for the meal, customers are asked to leave a donation for the Children's Miracle Network.
The IHOP in Kennewick has been filled with hungry customers all day today.
Diners say they're more than happy to donate money for children who need help.
"It's a wonderful thing to be able to have the money to do that. Even if you don't have it, it's a very good thing to give to charity to help somebody else. It makes you feel much better for yourself" said Lenny Lemire, customer.
"We are super busy and we're loving it. High volume and we're just loving in here" said Amanda Trout, Kennewick IHOP manager.
IHOP is hoping to raise $3 million across the country today.
The restaurant is giving pancakes away until 10 PM.
