Suspect Shot By Grandview Police
A suspect is hospitalized after being shot by Grandview police last night.
Police say it began when three suspects burglarized a home in the 600 block of East Third Street in Grandview.
The three made off with property and money and led police on a high speed chase before getting their car stuck.
An officer attempted to take one of the suspects, a 42-year-old man into custody, and in fear of his own life, opened fire on the suspect -- he was taken to Sunnyside Community Hospital for treatment.
A 17-year-old Wapato boy was also taken into custody, the third suspect fled.
The Yakima Police Department's Major Crimes Unit is investigating the shooting.
