Columbia Basin College unveils new facility
Columbia Basin College (CBC) welcomed students into a new facility Thursday afternoon after a ribbon cutting ceremony in Pasco.
The new building includes two new large lecture halls each one containing a state of the art sound system, and free Wi-Fi.
Informal study spaces and printing stations are also located throughout the building for students, creating a more comfortable learning environment.
"The faculty are one of the greatest living presences in this building and they are inviting to students and they are willing to work with the students at any given time so it's been great to have everyone all in one space," CBC Dean of Social Sciences and Languages, Monica Hansen said.
Criminal Justice, Anthropology, and World Language labs are all included at the new facility and CBC is also looking to hire more staff.
