PASCO -- Pasco residents could soon have more ways to recycle items they may normally throw away.

The city is looking into curbside recycling programs and adding more neighborhood recycling centers.

There are 12 recycling centers throughout the city.

Three more may be added at Stevens Middle School, Emerson Elementary and Virgie Robinson Elementary.

The city is also creating a community survey asking residents how much they would be willing to spend on curbside recycling.

The results will go to the city council.

"They'll review the entire survey and determine what areas they may want to focus on as we move into the next year or two with city council goals" said Stan Strebel, Deputy City Manager.

Those surveys will be distributed throughout the community during the next few weeks.

The city council is hoping to pull together the results early January.
