“I’m thrilled to be a part of the KAPP/KVEW family and to have the opportunity to share my love for sports and to grow with everyone in the Tri-Cities community .”
Tori Cooper was born in Redondo Beach California. She attended the University of Georgia and later transferred to the University of Colorado Boulder where she received her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Communication. During her time in college she was a division one soccer player in both the SEC and PAC 12 conferences where she received the 1st team All PAC 12 award, and defensive MVP Tori has been surrounded by athletes and the sports community her entire life.
In 2015, Tori turned down opportunities to play professional soccer in Barcelona, Spain and the U.S to pursue her career in Television. Shortly after graduating college she landed her first TV job at FOX 31 Denver. She started off as a sports reporting intern and later got hired in production where she worked on the morning shows.
During her time at FOX 31 Tori had the chance to report on the Denver Broncos, 2015 Super Bowl 50 champions several times, including practices and post-game coverage. Tori also had a chance to work on one of the most well know mass murders that took place in Aurora Colorado where James Holmes shot and killed 12 people and injured 70. From there Tori was hooked on the idea of making television a career.
She enjoys playing soccer, running, reformer pilates, traveling and spending time with her friends and family. Tori is excited to be in the Pacific Northwest. Make sure to stop and say hello if you see her wondering around in the Tri-Cities.
